Marjorie Burchell was a quilter and it is only natural to gather quilters in her former home to make wonderful quilts. Burchell's White Hill Farmhouse Inn has partnered with Jane Kuehn, owner of the Country Store near Heartwell, to host a series of Quilt Retreats. Here is a sample of our April 2013 Nebraska Whirlwind Quilt Retreat.
Here are the Details: The 24-hour Retreat will begin April 5, 2013 at 5:00 pm. and end April 6, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Participants will make a Nebraska Whirlwind or Stack and Wack.The quilt project is designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced

Retreat Costs: The nonrefundable register fee is $20.00 and is due on April 1. 2013. The fee can be paid by check or credit card and is applied to the total cost. Quilt fabric, instruction, lodging and
meals (supper, breakfast, lunch and snacks) is $190.00 per person based on double occupancy and can be paid at the beginning of the retreat. Requirements: Retreat participants must furnish their own working sewing machine (or arrange with Jane to rent one) and basic sewing and quilting supplies. The required supply list includes: rotary cutter, sharp blade for cutter, rotary mat, 24" cutting ruler, scissors, thread, extra sewing machine needles, seam ripper, pins/pin cushion, large square (16"), bias square (8") and any supplies you usually use.
